The Fastime 9 is an excellent stopwatch, well worth the money. It is easy to set, understand and use. My watch will be used mainly for lab work. It is sturdy, accurate, versatile and the display is sharp. It handles all my needs with ease. I would recommend it to any serious user.

I bought the 09 strictly as a present for a young american boy, whom I expect to become a World Champion in Serbia this summer. The stroke facility will improve his understanding of the changes in his variable pitch mechanism of his model aircraft during each of his six flights. It’s a reasonably priced stopwatch, which is perfect for the sports I intend to use it with: swimming. It can measure times, both lap and split, and the stroke rate of the swimmer can easily be measured. A slight disadvantage is that the FT9 will not save the stroke rates, so you have to write it down immediately or just remember the numbers (but that is not to be expected from a stopwatch in this price range, I think). Switching between time menu and stroke rate menu is very easy and fast (sometimes you have to run through a lot of other menus, but that is not the case here), and the time will continue to run when measuring stroke rates. The only reason why it doesn’t get 5 stars, is that a decent carrying case is not provided within this price.
