Circuit Racing Stopwatches

Here are just some of the things you will need to time at a circuit event:

  • Lap times - Capture a time for individual laps. If you just want to take lap times without storing them in memory, then any basic stopwatch will do this. Consider a Fastime 1 stopwatch. If you want to store lap times into memory, then the Fastime 10 is the one to go for.

  • Cumulative lap times - Capture the total time from the start of the event. If you want to take cumulative lap times then any basic stopwatch will do this. Consider a Fastime 1 stopwatch. Or if you want to switch between lap and split times we recommend the Fastime 4 Stopwatch. If you want to store lap times into memory, then the Fastime 10 is the one to go for.

  • Split Times within a lap (sector times) - Find out where you are quickest and slowest on a lap by sector. If you want to take split sector times without storing them in memory we recommend the Fastime 4 Stopwatch or the Fastime 10 Stopwatch if you want to store times into memory.

  • Cumulative Split Times within a lap (sector times) - Find out where you are quickest and slowest on a lap by cumulative sector. If you want to take split sector times without storing them in memory we recommend the Fastime 4 Stopwatch or the Fastime 10 Stopwatch if you want to store times into memory.

  • Split times between two competitors - to measure the gap between two competitors. If you want to take split times without storing them in memory we recommend the Fastime 4 Stopwatch or the Fastime 10 Stopwatch if you want to store times into memory.

  • Event time - To measure the time taken to carry out a particular event, for example a pit stop. Any basic stopwatch will do this. Try the Fastime 1 stopwatch.

  • Average speed - If you enter the circuit distance you can measure the speed for each lap and cumulative average speed. The Fastime 7, 8 and 14 stopwatches wall have speed conversion.

  • If you want to time up to 4 competitors at the same time, then the Multichron Stopwatch will do this.

  • If you want to store a series of races, or practice times and race times, then the Fastime 14 stopwatch will do this by saving groups of split times (races) as individual segments.

  • If you want a backlight for timing at night then the Fastime DB1 has this feature. If you want a backlit stopwatch with memory, the Fastime 18 has this feature. You can also time to 1/1000th second with this stopwatch.

  • If you want to print out lap and split times then the Seiko 300 lap memory triple display stopwatch will do this.

All of these stopwatches are suitable for karting but the Fastime 11 Stopwatch can be attached to your steering wheel and used in Endurance Karting races.
